When “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” plays at double speed by a high school band, you know the Winters Blizzard Football team is about to take the field. Who knows, they may be playing the Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies.
You may cheer for the Hutto Hippos, the Pied Pipers of Hamlin, the Progreso Red Ants, or what looks to be a cranky snow storm, but most of Texas communities will be cheering when football stadium lights across Texas beam in the Friday night sky, signaling another season of a uniquely Texas tradition of “over the top” fervor.
While the communities that feed Wylie ISD continue to grow at a record pace, our goal is to maintain a small-town feeling where the schools bring people together to celebrate our kids and community, the Wylie Way.
SEE YOU THERE!!!!
Both the Raiders and the Pirates take the field at Wylie Stadium this week and we would love to see you at the game!

Friday Night LIVE
For those of you who can’t make it to the game (or have family out of town), the University Interscholastic League (UIL) is allowing varsity football games to be live-streamed again this season. All Wylie High and Wylie East varsity home games will be broadcast. Our student-run video group, the PiRaiders, produces the events at Wylie Stadium. Wylie ISD follows all copyright and performance rights.

MARCHING BANDS!
For those who may be new to this Texas Tradition, this is WAY more than football. If you have not experienced elite marching bands with more than 300 members, it’s going to be spectacular.
“That Wylie Band” and “Pride of the East” are fresh off UIL State Marching Band Contest berths, placing them in the “top of the top” among their peers.
