The gentleman hugging the box is kid favorite, Mr. Levi Turner, a history teacher at Wylie East with a passion for kids and music. Mr. Turner is grateful for the new equipment his kids will use to create art in his new class.
What was an after school/lunchtime group of kids with an interest in music will now be a digital audio class he’s calling, Raider Records. In this class, students create and drop their music on http://www.raiderrecords.com
The Cowboy Perspective
According to my cowboy friend, Chimp Robertson,
The kids may have many different tastes; rap, country, rock but their common interest is music. Raider Records is important to these kids. Mr. Turner builds a foundation that rests on respect, responsibility, caring and giving that allows kids to take risks and build a community. Students in this class would work through snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind, and dust with no question to create their music with Mr. Turner. Sound familiar? These students are riding for the brand!
Mr. Turner celebrates his students’ differences by accurately assessing their strengths and interests with a well-grounded sense of confidence, optimism and growth mindset. Mr. Turner is the perfect example of when passion and career meet. Levi Rides for the Brand!
